Who the kitesurf lesson in Icaraizinho is for
The lesson is for people who have never tried it and want to learn kitesurfing from scratch, for those who have already had a few lessons and want to become independent, and for riders who want to progress their tricks with coaching. Children can learn too: the team assesses each child before the first lesson.
You don't need experience in other sports. The IKO-certified instructor adapts the pace of the lesson to your level and the conditions of the day.
How the beginner lesson works
The kitesurf course follows a step-by-step progression, always with safety first:
- Safety briefing: wind, riding area and signals with the instructor
- Setting up the equipment and controlling the kite on the sand
- Body drag: gliding through the water pulled by the kite, without a board
- First rides on the board and, with practice, riding independently
How long it takes to learn kitesurfing
It depends on each person, how often you take lessons and the wind. In 2 hours you understand the equipment and start controlling the kite; the 6, 10 and 12-hour packages give you time to get up on the board and become independent, with the hours spread over lessons throughout your stay.

The 2-hour private lesson costs R$ 700 and the semi-private lesson (2 people, 1 instructor and 1 equipment set) starts at R$ 615 per person. All packages include IKO-certified instructors, equipment included (kite, bar, board, harness, helmet and wetsuit), a safety briefing and insurance.
Where the lesson takes place: sea or lagoon
The school has options at sea and on the lagoon and chooses the spot for each lesson according to the conditions of the day. Ceará's lagoons usually have shallow, flat water, great for your first contact with the board; the sea in the Icaraizinho bay offers room to progress with the steady wind of the trade winds.
Safety first
Every lesson starts with a safety briefing, the instructor stays with you throughout the session and the kite size is chosen according to your weight and the strength of the wind. Insurance is included in all packages.
